Mountain Horse Spring River Tall Riding Boot (Brown)

The Mountain Horse Spring River boot combines beauty and function to create a smart; waterproof all-purpose riding boot. It is made from a flexible, yet comfortable oily full grain leather with a bamboo lining for natural moisture wicking and to help minimize odours. There is an integrated steel shank for maximum support and stability when walking or in the saddle and the ShockX advanced cushioning insole absorbs any shock impact. In addition, the hidden elastic along the inside back of the shaft gives some flexibility for maximum comfort and fit whilst the resilient YKK zipper makes it easy to take them on and off. The ideal boot for everyday riding through all the seasons!

  • Waterproof technology in our construction keeps your leg dry up to above your ankle
  • Built in steel shank for improved stability
  • Hidden elastic along the inside of the shaft
  • Full length protective covers along the side of the zipper
  • Shock absorbing PU midsole
  • Slip resistant zones

Lisa’s notes: If you are looking for a pair of boots to wear each day around the yard or riding then these Spring River boots are a definite contender! They are tougher than the dress style riding boots that you can purchase thanks to their oily full grain leather which means they are less likely to object to the normal wear and tear around the yard. So if you are one of those riders/owners who are under time pressure and want a boot they can sling on, muck out, ride and back in the car for the school run then these boots would fit the bill. They do require some love and attention and we would still advise sticking to your wellingtons if you regularly wade around up to your ankles in mud and they also need to be kept regularly cleaned with a decent leather feed or polish to maintain the appearance and integrity of the leather. They have all the practical features that you would want in a boot with its cushion sole, rear zip and elasticated inner panel which means they are easy to get on and off so no more wrestling with the boot jack! We also get very few returns on Mountain Horse boots such is the quality of their product!

With regards sizing it is important to get the right fit so take your time to measure your leg correctly as with all boots these will drop a little over time so make sure you get a snug fit around the calf and the length.

We have included a size chart in the images and a fitting guide so you can see the different sizes and how to measure correctly. When measuring your calf we recommend taking three different measurements so that you know you have found the widest part as this is the one you need. When you first receive your boot and try it on, ideally you should feel the back of the boot sitting in to the lower part of the back of the knee when first worn, this is normal and we do recommend purchasing some heel lifters so these can be placed in the boot initially until the boot has dropped and thus attained the correct length whereupon the heel lifters can be removed. If you need more help please feel free to call us for further assistance as we want you to get your purchase right!
