These Euro-Star Midnight Sun breeches are from the Premium collection and are designed to offer riders the ultimate in protection and technology.

They are made from Serates fabric (see below for the full explanation) which is a clever fabric that maintains the rider’s natural body temperature over a prolonged period of time and guarantees breathability and excellent moisture and odour control.

In addition it has four-way stretch for maximum comfort and mobility and is water and dust repellent. The 360° reflective details allow the rider to be seen in the dark and remain safe and the flex leg closure means no bulk under your riding boots.

The full grip silicon seat ensures extra stability in the saddle whilst the clever key pocket with reflective zipper on the rear keeps essentials out the way!

They are from Euro-Star’s new premium collection which takes the most innovative fabrics and combines with the latest designs to create a fashionable breech with all the practicalities you could require.

The Serates fabric is from one of the leading manufacturers of technical sportswear and they are known for developing fabrics that satisfy the fashion industry whilst being able to hit the standards required from top sportsmen with regards to moisture management, breathability, permeability and elasticity.  

It is no surprise that many riders are demanding far more from their breeches regards their performance; and are using them for running or working out at a gym. With ever-growing time constraints on people they want the option to nip from the gym to the yard or hop off their horse and go for a run without the faff of changing.

Also, once you have experienced wearing more technical fabrics then it is difficult to switch back to the more traditional fabrics, for the honest truth is they are easy to wear, give you so much more freedom to move and you do feel less sweaty when you get hot.

I’ve realised that when wearing my technical tops; and they also wash and dry quicker as well. Yes they are more expensive and I would say that if you ride irregularly, you may not feel the real benefits of them but if you can stretch your purse then they are worth considering. They will last for years providing you look after them and we’ve given a guide below on care.

We always advise following the washing instructions on the garment but for those who cannot be bothered too; then do take the time to have a glance at what I have found has worked for me over the years! My breeches still look as good as the first day I had them!

Just turn them inside out, pop them in your machine and add a capful of wool or silk wash. It is only a capful! It doesn’t need to be a branded product; any generic supermarket silk or wool wash will work! This will help to give your breeches an almost invisible protective coating. Then put them on to a 30° quick wash or hand wash.

Once washed hang them up to dry, not on a direct heat source and certainly not in the tumble dryer as it will wreck your seat and bash off any bling! Mine are usually dry within 24 hours, less time if the weather is warmer.

If you cannot be bothered to buy the silk or wool wash then definitely use a product which is non-bio as I have found that biological liquids tend to fade or bleach the colours. Though it’s worth noting even customers who have used non-bio liquid have found the colour has faded hence the silk and wool wash.
