Delivery Charges

  • FREE Standard Delivery on online orders over £75
  • Standard Delivery charges are £4.95 for orders under £75. This covers most of mainland UK and takes 3-5 days.*
  • Premium Delivery charges are £9.00 for Next Day Delivery to most of mainland UK.* (Please note this does not include Saturday delivery which incurs an additional charge and is subject to time orders are received. Generally, orders received after 9am will be dispatched the following day as courier and Royal Mail collection is between 10-12 am. Orders to Northern Ireland, some regions of Scotland and the Outer Islands will take longer.)

Due to ongoing issues with the courier and postal services, despite paying for guaranteed or signed for services, there are occasions when those deadlines are not met. These delays are beyond our control. If you require your order by a specific date or if you have specific delivery requirements please phone to discuss them (01208 831817). We always endeavour to meet them!

If free postage is offered, it applies to a Standard Delivery only and excludes quoted and overseas deliveries. Minimum order value of £75 will be required to qualify for postage offers. If multiple items have been ordered and an item cannot be fulfilled which means your order falls below the shipping threshold for free shipping, we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to discuss the various options. If we cannot contact you, we will refund for the missing items and apply shipping costs as per the usual terms.

Christmas delivery 2026

Shopping for Christmas? Please order as early as possible. Our recommended order cut-off times for Christmas delivery to mainland UK are:

  • Standard delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 24): Monday 21 December at 9am.
  • Larger parcels sent by courier: Friday 18 December at 9am.
  • Express delivery (Royal Mail Special Delivery, for eligible orders under 2kg): Tuesday 22 December at 9am. Please select the express shipping option at checkout.

Free delivery on qualifying orders over £75 is standard delivery, not express. If you order after the standard delivery cut-off and need your order for Christmas, please select and pay for express delivery, provided your order is eligible and placed before the express cut-off.

Our Christmas Special Delivery option is for eligible orders under 2kg. For heavier or bulky orders, including boots, rugs, large coats or multiple items, please use the earlier courier cut-off. If you have missed this date, please contact us on 01208 831817 before ordering so we can check the available delivery options and costs.

Orders to Northern Ireland, some parts of Scotland and the outer islands may need extra time. Please contact us before ordering if you need delivery to these areas by Christmas.

These are order cut-off times, not guaranteed arrival dates. Even with express delivery, bad weather, service disruption and Christmas demand can cause delays. If you need an item by a specific date, please call us before ordering.

We can only deliver within the mainland UK on this website. We are not currently shipping to destinations in Europe outside the UK. For other destinations outside the UK, please contact us to check delivery availability and request a quote. *Please see below for specific information on international deliveries.

For UK delivery we do not, as standard, guarantee delivery times but we aim to deliver most items within 2-3 working days provided they are in stock. 

For items weighing up to 10 KG, (and comply with Royal Mail's small and medium parcel dimensions) these are normally sent by Royal Mail 24hr tracked service. (Standard delivery charge)

This is a tracked service where a signature is sometimes required and normally will take 24 hrs. However, some areas are more lenient and may allow you to leave the parcel in a safe place so please do pop in the comments if required or if you are concerned that your postal worker cannot leave parcels without a signature, please leave an alternative address in the comments section so we can deliver if you are not at home.

Please note that this time frame is not guaranteed and can take longer at certain times. (Mainland UK only. Orders to Northern Ireland, some regions of Scotland and the Outer Islands will take longer.) Please select Standard delivery service.

All parcels over 2KG (and above Royal Mail's Medium parcel dimensions) are shipped by courier and are guaranteed to be delivered within 24-48 hours for mainland orders or 72 hours for Northern Ireland, some regions of Scotland and the Outer Islands. We also use Royal Mail Special Delivery service for items below 2KG in weight which will guarantee your item will arrive by 1pm the following day (Mainland UK). For either of these options, please select the Express delivery option. If in doubt, please do call to discuss the options available.

Click & Collect (UK only)

If you wish to collect your order from our store, please select this option. Most orders are ready for collection within 24 hours of placing the order. Please wait until you receive your ready-for-collection notification before travelling. If you need your order sooner, please contact us before travelling. Please note that this option is not available for international customers unless you happen to be visiting our area and can physically pop in store, in which case we would be more than happy to meet you!!

Despatch Times

We aim to despatch all goods from our warehouse within 1 working day of the receipt of the order. Occasionally at exceptionally busy times this may take a little longer. For orders that are over 2kg in weight and require shipping via courier, these will generally be dispatched the following day unless we can book the parcel in before the cut off time that is required. You will be notified by email if it is anticipated that delivery will take longer than our stated time. If you have any questions about the delivery of your order or require your order by a specific time then we advise that you contact us to check beforehand, please telephone 01208 831817.

International Deliveries

We are not currently shipping to destinations in Europe outside the UK. For destinations outside Europe, please contact us at horses@spoilthorse.co.uk to check whether delivery is available before proceeding with an order.

As the size and weight of our items can vary significantly, we cannot process international orders through our website as we prefer to only charge what it actually costs us to ship them and the cost is based on the size and weight of the parcel! To get an accurate cost for shipping, we ask that you e-mail the list of item/s you are looking at purchasing to us at horses@spoilthorse.co.uk with the country where you would like them to be shipped. We can then weigh them and send you a full breakdown of the cost of shipping and expected shipping time, the cost of any items with VAT reduced (if applicable) and you can then decide whether you wish to proceed with the order. If you do wish to proceed, we then forward an invoice via PayPal to your e-mail address which you can then pay by whatever means you prefer. Once payment is received, we will ship the items within one working day of receiving payment and forward the tracking details so you can follow the progress of your parcel.
