Lisa’s notes: This smart, workmanlike jacket has all the functional features you require in a decent winter riding coat. It is water and wind proof and most importantly; has a critical taped seam which helps stop water or wind from sneaking in.
For those who like all the technical blurb then check out the explanations below. The two-way zip is cleverly concealed underneath when it is zipped up to create a waterproof seal. The hood can also be detached so you can alter the look.
With regards fit these were nice and generous and I have included a guide so you can compare to a UK dress size. I normally take a large in a jacket and found that I had plenty of room across my back, around my arms and chest even whilst wearing a top and thick sweatshirt. I would say that you will be fine going with your standard size, however if you require further help please do contact us!

Waterproof
According to the European standard EN343, for materials and products to be considered waterproof they need to meet specific criteria. This includes the amount of water pressure (psi) they can withstand before leaking or an “mm/24 hours” rating which equals the amount of rainfall a fabric can withstand in a single day before water starts to leak through. Equally important are the abrasion resistance quality of the membrane, the coating and waterproof quality of the seams and zips – these should be laminated or welded.
Windproof
The slightly water-repellent wind protection is achieved primarily through a membrane. The windproof soft shell material provides perfect protection against the dangerous wind chill effect, due to the convective dissipation of body heat, which as a result produces a higher rate of evaporation.
Breathable
Breathability refers to the ability of a man-made fibre or natural fibre to release the body's own water vapour. Breathable fabrics allow for quick drying already during use and thus prevent heat build-up from the body under the fabric as well as cooling due to dammed up moisture.
