Lisa's notes: I love these breeches for their quality and innovation! I so wish they had been around when I was pregnant and looking for a comfortable alternative to my everyday breeches. I ended up sending off for some really unflattering leggings with faux leather seat which although comfortable were definitely not flattering!
These look like traditional breeches and have the same silicon seat as the standard Easy Rider ones but the stretchy tummy panel means you can unfold them to cover an ever growing bump.
What I discovered from experience was that I found it more comfortable to have my bump covered than by putting a waistband extension on my normal breeches. They still cut in when I was sitting and working around the yard and were soon abandoned for unfashionable leggings!
Even after giving birth I still found it more comfortable and less restricting to work in my leggings for quite a while after and with these the belly part can be tucked in to the breeches when not needed so don't feel that you will not get the use out of them because I guarantee you will!
They have also put in an additional stretch side panel along the thigh for those riders who find they put on a bit of extra weight as the pregnancy progresses. For the price, I really feel they have done a great job.
How you wash your breeches will ensure longevity and often riders don't heed the washing instructions so if you are one of those then please see the below method that has always worked for me!
Just turn them inside out, pop them in your machine and add a capful of wool or silk wash. It is only a capful! It doesn't need to be a branded product; any generic supermarket silk or wool wash will work! This will help to give your breeches an almost invisible protective coating.
Then put them on to a 30° quick wash or hand wash. Once washed hang them up to dry, not on a direct heat source and certainly not in the tumble dryer as it will wreck your seat and bash off your bling!
Mine are usually dry within 24 hours, less time if the weather is warmer. It always staggers me when I see people's breeches at how faded they look even after a short period of time. My breeches are the same colour now as they were a few years ago; it's the wrong washing product and excess heat that will bleach the colour out so it pays to care for them as they are expensive!
With regards fit these generally come up a standard size and I have included a guide so you can compare to a UK dress size. However do contact us if you require more help!
